Forge Motorsport are the largest manufacturer of aftermarket Dump Valves in Europe. Their valves are a great way to upgrade your turbo and can usually be fitted directly and simply in place of a factory fitted valve.

Dump Valves, or turbo car wastegates as they are occasionally known, provide an escape for the unused boost pressure when you lift off the throttle. When you accelerate in a car with a turbo it creates boost or 'positive pressure' but as soon as you lift your foot off the accelerator the throttle will close, preventing the built up boost from escaping. This pressure then backs up through the intercooler and this causes negative pressure on the turbo, hindering its performance.

A Dump Valve will facilitate the required escape route for the boost meaning that turbo lag will be reduced and pick up between gear changes will be enhanced.
