Replacement Front Car Seats Guide

Many front car seats come with metal sliders pre-fitted to their base. These usually include mounting holes which in some very lucky cases line up exactly with the mounting holes in the car. However, in the vast majority of cases you will need subframes.

Subframes are metal adaptors which bolt to the bottom of the seats to allow easy fitment to your car. You can buy universal subframes (designed to fit a variety of cars) or tailored subframes (designed specifically for your car). Subframes also differ in design from one manufacturer to another so if you have Corbeau seats it is likely you will need Corbeau subframes.

Subframes vary greatly in price from around £30 per seat up to about £200 per seat. It is very important to bear in mind that many seat manufacturers will only supply subframes if proof of purchase of their seats can be supplied.
